Can I park my car overnight at Newfound gap? I am planning on hiking to Clingman's dome and stay overnight at Mt.Collins Shelter on the way back. But I don't have a place to park my car other than Newfound gap. Please suggest me if there is a better option to park my car. Thanks a lot in advance.

you will need a back country permit for the Mt Collins shelter ,which you might have to register for months in advance. but parking should be no problem

As long as the park is open then you can drive up to Newfound Gap. Theres a TN/NC side marker for pictures. There's also restrooms.
