Anthony Colandrea and Alex Orji say they prefer the word camaraderie over competition, that they’re pushing one another to be the best they can be. It’s not easy.
"Last season, Colandrea threw for over 2,100 yards with 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He played over 700 snaps according to PFF and finished with a pedestrian 64.2 overall grade.
UNLV quarterbacks Alex Orji and Anthony Colandrea are building camaraderie while competing for the starting position as the Rebels begin full-pads practice.
Orji and Colandrea are two of a plethora of new faces to arrive at a program that won 20 games over 2023 and 2024. Most of last season's starters are gone, so the transfer portal was Mullen's friend.
Anthony Colandrea, who started the last two years at Virginia, and Alex Orji, who started for a stretch last season at Michigan, are familiar names in college football circles.
