The Packers need draft assets to ensure they have the ammunition to offset potential losses in free agency. With that in mind—and considering Green Bay invested heavily in the wide receiver position during the draft—a Packers wideout has been rumored to be a trade target for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

On Wednesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers moved on from wide receiver George Pickens by trading him to the Dallas Cowboys. This left the Steelers with a huge vacancy at wide receiver. Pittsburgh is also still in a holding pattern at quarterback as Aaron Rodgers remains undecided about his future.

The Pittsburgh Steelers just traded a polarizing receiver whose antics match his talent. They don't need to acquire another one.

A reasonable comp may be 2021. The Bears held the 20th pick, which is about when the Steelers typically are on the clock. Chicago moved nine spots up by giving up No. 20 and a fifth-round pick in 2021, plus 2022 first- and fourth-round picks.

Wallace and Smith-Schuster were declining in their final years with the Steelers before going to new teams. Wallace's yards per game dropped from 74.6 in 2011 to 55.7 in 2012, then he signed with the Miami Dolphins prior to the 2013 season.
