A top executive at Sun Microsystems said the company is developing a Web-based language called Juxtapose for use by companies looking to build peer-to-peer applications.

Once viewed as transforming entire industries, peer to peer is now gaining traction as an unglamorous way to make ordinary business processes more efficient.
