Apple’s new iOS and iPadOS 16.4 betas will let Safari web apps on your homescreen send you push notifications. The feature was first announced at WWDC in June.

However, getting users to open your notification to begin with at least brings them into the funnel. Push notifications are more effective when going down a funnel anyway.
