Hexa, a startup creating tools to convert images into 3D models for AR, VR and 360-degree-view use cases, raised $20.5 million in a funding round.

Hexa customers can upload an image or have Hexa's API automatically fetch images from a website. Then the company's engineers, using AI-assisted tools, create 3D assets and models from the images.

Stability AI said the generative model called Stable Video 3D or SV3D can turn images into 3D objects and videos.
