Aston Villa have announced their third new signing in the ongoing summer transfer window on Friday. Aston Villa signed Evann Guessand from Ligue 1 club Nice on a five-year deal, which is reportedly worth €35m ($47m).

Aston Villa has made its first major signing of the summer by landing Ivory Coast forward Evann Guessand from French club Nice for a reported fee of at least 30 million euros.

On Friday, 8 August 2025, Aston Villa revealed they have agreed a transfer for Evann Guessand. The forward has gone from Nice for an initial fee of £26 million with up to £4.3 million in add-ons. His acquisition should address one of the biggest worries that hung over the construction of the squad.
