Adult ball pythons typically range in length from 90 to 137 cm (around 35 to 54 inches) and can weigh between 1.5 to 2 kilograms (approximately 3.3 to 4.4 pounds).

Pythons are non-native to Florida and non-venomous snakes. Burmese pythons are one of the largest snakes in the world. The ball python found in Vero Beach was "friendly" and docile when rescued.
