Legacy flight booking systems are extremely easy to hack, exposing travellers to social engineering and other forms of cyber attack, security researchers have warned.

The travel booking systems used by millions of people every day lack modern authentication methods and allow attackers to easily modify other people's reservations, researchers warn.

“That’s a convenient yet outdated myth that ignores the fact airfare is constantly changing not just daily, but by the hour and even by the minute,” the expert said.
