Google has confirmed plans to strongarm all Cloud customers to use multi-factor authentication (MFA) starting in 2025.
If you use Google services, and you don't want anyone raiding or wrecking your account and services--not to mention your life--Google two-step verification security is for you.
Although this only works for Google accounts, it's highly recommended to turn on two-factor authentication on every account that supports it. Passwords aren't entirely a thing of the past, though.
While two-factor authentication can be time-consuming to set up for every account, it's relatively straightforward to set up and use, and well worth the effort.
