FAQ: HOWTO: Convert a dynamic disk back to a basic disk without data loss <br><br>I think we may need to re-org stuff to make a HOWTO section or something.
I did some reading and it seems that the Windows 7 machine will only read it as a Basic disk. So is there anyway to change it to a basic disk without me losing the data on it? Eva01 ...
The most obvious difference between basic and dynamic disks lies in operating system support. While all versions of Windows--even DOS--support basic disks, we can't say the same for dynamic disks.
