Also, be aware that the Developer tab will always be displayed in the ribbon from now on unless you either go back into Options and turn it off or re-install Excel.

First, enable the Developer tab, then create a Macro. After that, save it as an Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook for Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet and a Word Macro-Enabled Document for Microsoft Word.

To enable the Developer tab, open Excel and go to the File menu. From there, select Options, then Customize Ribbon. In the right pane of the dialog box that appears, check the Developer box.
