Microsoft Word’s content controls make it easier than ever to use dependent controls in your templates to update content all at once.
In Microsoft Word, Controls are pre-programmed tools that allow you to add and customize interactive content to your Word forms, templates, documents, and webpages.
Click the Developer tab. In the Controls group, click the Check Box Content Control icon. Doing so will insert a check box in edit mode.
Then, click the "Check Box Content Control" button (denoted by a small box with a checkmark inside). This will insert an interactive checkbox at the cursor's position.
