The one caveat to this is that if you’re opening text files, it will open in the default Gedit — or GNOME Text, depending on which version of GNOME you’re using — GUI application.

Now that you understand how to access the file manager, let's use it. Open the file manager and you can start searching and filtering for the file you're looking for (Figure 5).

Open the file manager on your phone by searching for File in the app drawer. If your phone doesn’t have a file manager, you can download one from the Google Play Store, like the ASTRO File Manager.
