Looking to promote usage of Enterprise Java Beans for database access, Oracle proposes open-source tool based on its TopLink software.

Eclipse is an open-source Integrated Development Environment (IDE) supported by IBM. Eclipse is a popular script creator for Java application development (Java SE and Java EE) and Android apps.

Oracle said this week it plans to transfer management of the Java EE project to an open-source foundation, such as Apache or Eclipse.
