The files are created by Microsoft XPS Document Writer, but can be opened by Microsoft XPS Viewer. You may access the Viewer directly, or open it through the file.
Open the Start menu and click on "Devices and Printers." Right-click on the icon labeled "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" and choose the "Remove device" option.
