Sometimes you can accidentally save the wrong version of an Excel document and want to recover the previous version of the file. Don't worry, it's feasible and will take only 5 minutes of your time.

File versioning in applications If you need to get back to an earlier version of a file, start by checking the application you’re editing it in.

To go back to an earlier version of a file, click on it (which will display the differences with the current version on screen), then select Restore this version.

To access this feature, go to the folder containing the file in question. Right-click the file and select Restore previous version. Or you can select Properties and click the Previous Versions tab.

If any OneDrive file or document is changed, you can still access older versions & restore previous version of document in OneDrive Personal or Business.
