You can still run the app, and you probably don’t even notice the slowdown you’ve been warned about (at least in my personal experience). Your ability to run that 32-bit app is coming to an end.

The next version of Apple's MacOS software will still run 32-bit apps, but they won't necessarily work as the developers intended.

Why does 64 bit offer better security compared to 32 bit? I suspect you can run the code in isolated boxes that can't talk to the outside world other than sending messages to the OS.
