Those deploying Docker images on Azure VMs, for instance, can now run the Docker CLI side by side with their other Azure tools on their Windows workstations.

Following last month's partnership with Docker to develop containers for Windows Server, Microsoft's new CLI adds a Windows client interface to Linux containers.

The deal with Docker was inked a few months back. Now Microsoft describes how to create a Docker VM that hosts any number of containers for your apps running in Azure.
