Notepad now allows you to write Markdown without installing anything extra. Use toolbar shortcuts to apply formatting, switch views, and clear formatting when needed.

You edit code in one window and run and view it in another.<BR><BR>While you could code in notepad.exe, you miss out on auto-complete, intellisense, and syntax coloring among other things.
