The e-commerce giant has launched a new feature on its app called "Add to Delivery," a button that allows customers to add additional items to a delivery for an order that has already been placed.
Last week, Amazon settled an antitrust lawsuit for $2.5 billion, after the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) accused the tech giant of deceiving tens of millions of customers to sign up for Prime subscriptions and then “knowingly” making the cancellation process difficult.
The $2.5 billion settlement is made up of a $1 billion civil penalty paid to the government, the largest ever involving an FTC rule violation, and $1.5 billion in refunds to affected consumers, the second-highest restitution award ever obtained by the FTC.
Starting Oct. 1, Amazon Prime customers wanting to share shipping benefits and added digital perks can do so using the Amazon Family program.
