There are all sorts of texture packs for both Minecraft Java and Bedrock edition (Image via Sportskeeda) Minecraft has a unique pixelated texture for all blocks, mobs, and items.

However, installing an X-ray texture pack can be confusing for newer players, especially considering the difference between Java and Bedrock Editions.

The best Minecraft texture packs will make your blocks all shiny and new - or darker and more detailed, depending on which texture pack you prefer.

Just note that mods and resource packs only work with the "Java Edition" of "Minecraft," available for Mac, Windows, and Linux computers.

That doesn't mean just skins and texture packs, but total overhaul mods that introduce new game mechanics, shader packs, and more. If that sounds like you, you'll want to play Java Edition.
