Starting soon, anyone who installs Unity, Epic’s Unreal Engine, or Chukong’s Cocos2D will see a highlighted option to co-install Microsoft’s Visual Studio Community for Windows.

Developers can now co-install Visual Studio Community on Windows alongside Unreal Engine, Unity and Cocos2d, as well as the plug-ins required for Windows dev building games with these tools.

People have been waiting with anticipation for Unreal Engine 5, and now game developers can try it in early access.

Gears of War studio The Coalition will show off a new Unreal Engine 5 demo at this year's GDC.

Unreal Engine 5 is officially released and ready to power your next-gen game. Epic also released several sample projects, including a new playable shooter called Lyra.

The studio is shifting resources to other projects, which will entail a switch to Unreal Engine 5 for "next-gen development." There's still a bit of life in Gears 5.
