Anaconda users can install and launch VS Code from its Navigator desktop interface, which also configures the code editor to use the appropriate interpreter for a preferred development environment.

Microsoft has written an Anaconda package manager extension for Visual Studio Code, allowing direct download of packages from inside the editor.
