Microsoft wants to turn kids' love of Minecraft into a love of computer programming through a partnership with Code.org, announced on Monday morning.

In the process, players generate computer code. Deirdre Quarnstrom, director of Minecraft Education, said educators love the game "because their students are really engaged" while playing it.
