I did this by going to the File > Open database > Select database > Click open I thought it might be a permissions restriction so I went to the file to check my permissions and it seemed okay.

And, due to stupidity, I deleted the DB file (s) hoping that you could force File History to "reattach" to that store, scan it, rebuild the DB and we could get on with life.
