GM has issued a fix for certain 2023 Chevy Malibu units with potentially incorrectly seated body control modules, which also affects the 2023 Cadillac XT4.

The 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 has an available free fix via reprogramming for a faulty Brake System Control Module (BSCM), according to a new GM Service Update.

There has been no impact on Lyriq production. "The recall will resolve a software defect in the electronic brake control module," GM spokesperson Bill Grotz said in a statement.
