Nefarious game makers appear to be leveraging a chat-based Roblox exploit that results in automatic account bans for unsuspecting users.
While Roblox removed both games from the site, it doesn't appear the company has taken any additional concrete steps to help protect innocent players from platform bans.
“We thought our new 'Hack-A-Cat' game was a unique opportunity to inspire interest in cybersecurity for a younger audience using Roblox,” said Stu Sjouwerman, CEO of KnowBe4.
The "Roblox" massive outage this May 2022 is affecting thousands of gamers across the globe. The server issues began around 2:00 a.m. EST on Wednesday, May 4.
