ROBLOX avatars are getting a new wardrobe, the VR reality platform said. On Monday, Roblox formally launched their new Layered Clothing system, according to a new press release by the company.

Customizing the avatar with different accessories, clothing, and other items is a large part of the Roblox experience.

Virtual reality is taking over the fashion world as luxury designer brands such as Gucci, Fendi and Balenciaga are rolling out digital clothing collections for metaverse avatars to wear.

Roblox provides its users with a wide range of options for personalizing their avatar or character. Players can purchase or acquire free items such as clothing, accessories, and other cosmetics.

Roblox is introducing two new AI technologies to reduce the time it takes to create avatars and 3D models, the company announced on Monday.

Roblox surveyed 1,000 Gen Z-ers on their fashion preferences and 2 in 5 said they care more about fashion for their digital selves.
