Best Internet Speed Test App for Android 1. Speedtest by Ookla Arguably one of the most recognized speed test apps out there, Speedtest by Ookla has been around for quite some time now.

The app itself is called Shutter-Speed and has a very minimalist look and feel. I really wish it looked more old school, like the LightMeter app, as I think this would add to the product’s appeal.
