Here’s how it works. Spotify is one of the most popular streaming services around, and there is a new app for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile that is a must-have if you are serious about music.

Windows 10 doesn’t have an official Spotify app in the Windows Store, but it does have a pretty decent unofficial Spotify app for users. That app is called Spoticast for Spotify, and it’s $4.99.

Also included are "tablet mode improvements". Seemingly to prove that Spotify proper can't make a good app for Windows 10, the developer behind Xpotify has released version 1.6 of the free client.

The new app hasn’t yet popped up in the Windows 10 Technical Preview—at least in my tests. Microsoft did, however, post an image of the new build to its Xbox support page for the new music app.
