Roblox players appear unhappy with the platform's decision to sell items for real money instead of Robux, sparking discussions on social media.

For the uninitiated, Roblox creators earn something called Robux by selling in-game items that grant perks and abilities. Regional pricing doesn’t yet cover avatar items, but will later in the year.

Roblox previously postponed plans to go public as the US Securities and Exchange Commission cited concerns over how the company recognised the sales of its in-game currency, Robux.

Robux is one of the ways that Roblox Corporation makes money, so it would be erroneous to think you could get them for free.
