A file with .stl extension is a 3D graphic file native to Stereolithography technology. Stereolithography is basically a type of 3D printing technology to create 3D models.

After editing the STL model, you can save it in its original format or convert it to STL, PLY, VRML, DAE, 3MF, and other formats. To do that, you can use the File > Export feature.
