A judge overseeing the criminal case against Sean “Diddy” Combs denied his request to toss his conviction on prostitution-related charges or allow for a new trial after the parties had a hearing on the topic last Thursday.

Sean Combs, the fallen hip-hop mogul, was sentenced to more than four years in prison for prostitution-related offenses.

Combs’ defense team is pushing for leniency, asking the judge to consider time served, about 14 months at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
