Google's Flutter 1.20 framework is out: VS Code extension and mobile autofill support Google releases a new stable build of Flutter, its framework for creating user interfaces for mobile and desktops.

As far as the new dev tools go, it’s worth noting that Google already built Flutter support into Android Studio and added tools for Microsoft’s increasingly popular Visual Studio Code.

Google has released Dart 2.5 with support for calling C code and intelligent code completion, and Flutter 1.9 with iOS 13 and macOS Catalina support.

Google Flutter has a similar “Hot Reload” feature which lets you push updated code and resources to a running Dart VM while maintaining the application’s state.

Google released Flutter 3.7 with more Material You widgets and menus support, while also teasing the future of the app development framework.

At Flutter Interact today, Google laid out its ambient computing vision for Flutter, which lets developers build embedded, mobile, desktop, and web apps from the same codebase.
