WhatsApp previously supported only documents, photos, and videos, but now users can share any file up to 100 MB.

WhatsApp is testing new features, including local file sharing without internet and contact notes for personalized information.

You can then send that file via WhatsApp. If you receive a file on WhatsApp from someone using the SendAnyFile app, you have the option to set it as your default app for opening .doc files.

Reportedly, WhatsApp is testing a file sharing feature like Android's Quick Share which will allow sharing up to 2GB file.
