Tropical waters that started the season on the cooler side have warmed and a traveling spot of storminess is stoking African tropical waves.

Colorado State University has released their two-week forecast for North Atlantic Tropical Cyclone activity for the middle of August, and NOAA's prediction for the Atlantic hurricane season remains on-track.

Above-normal activity is still expected for the remainder of hurricane season, according to NOAA's updated hurricane forecast.
