Hit Chinese Feature ‘The Legend Of Hei’ Will Get A North American Release Five years in the making, the ecological fantasy feature topped the Chinese box office last year.

The film has grossed over 23 million yuan ($3.2 million) at the box office since its premiere, according to the live industry tracker Maoyan Pro. The premiere event of The Legend of Hei II in Beijing.

The film grossed 320 million yuan (US$49.47 million) in China upon its release in 2019. Initially "The Legend of Hei" hardly found any cinemas willing to screen it in Japan.
