The Detroit Lions-Atlanta Falcons preseason game on Friday night was called with 6:19 remaining. The cause of the suspension wasn’t bad weather. The teams was held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, a roofed stadium in Atlanta.

But on the Falcons' final drive of the game, Lions cornerback Morice Norris went down with a scary injury that led to him leaving the stadium in an ambulance. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport later confirmed Norris had suffered head and neck injury.

The Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons snapped the ball and stood on the field for eight minutes to end their preseason game after an ambulance had to come remove a player due to a serious injury.
