Austin FC looked poised to take three points after it took a 1-0 lead into second-half stoppage time thanks to Brandon Vazquez’s brilliant free-kick goal in the 55th minute, but the visitors used a great combination of passes that ended with Jamal Thiaré’s easy tap in of a cross for the equalizer.

Jamal Thiare scored his first goal of the season in extra time, helping visiting Atlanta United pull even for a 1-1 draw against Austin FC on Wednesday.

Thiaré tapped in a pass from Saba Lobjanidze that Austin FC goalkeeper Brad Stuver narrowly missed getting a hand on for the equalizer, spoiling a tremendous free kick goal by Austin's Brandon Vazquez in the 55th minute to put his club up 1-0.
