Sydney Sweeney implied that there's a double standard for, uh, marketing bathwater, claiming women criticized her bathwater-infused soap but went wild over Jacob Elordi's bathwater in 'Saltburn.'

At the time, Sydney brushed off the controversy, and suggested that her ultimate end goal with the collab was to get people talking about her. When E! News asked her about the soap at the premiere of her Apple TV+ movie Echo Valley, the star quipped: “I think it’s more fun to see everyone else talk about it.”

Referencing the popularity of a 2024 candle called “Jacob Elordi’s Bathwater,” Sweeney noted that fans had embraced the Elordi-themed product, which was inspired by a scene in the film Saltburn. Unlike Sweeney’s soap, however, Elordi was not involved in the production or marketing of that candle — and it didn’t contain any actual bathwater.
