Russia and Ukraine launched more overnight air attacks on each other's capitals on Wednesday, with two people killed as a result of the strikes on Kyiv and swarms of drones destroyed on their approach to Moscow.

Two people were killed and eight injured after Russia targeted Kyiv with drones and missiles overnight, hours before a unilateral three-day cease-fire announced by Moscow was due to come into effect Wednesday night.

Ukraine’s Magura V7 surface drone reportedly shot down two Russian Su-30SM jets using American-made Sidewinder missiles, marking a breakthrough in naval drone warfare and showcasing Ukraine’s evolving capabilities.
