Over 2,300 years old, the Golden Pectoral from Tovsta Mohyla is attributed to the Scythians of the northern Black Sea region. The crescent-shaped collar is divided into three registers: the top depicts what seems to be Scythian daily life, the middle a rich natural world, and the lower scenes of supernatural beings. Made of solid 24-carat gold, it weighs 1,150 g (2.5 lb) and measures 30.6 cm (12 in) in diameter. This artifact is now housed at the Museum of Historical Treasures in Kyiv, Ukraine.
